Hello, and thank you for checking out my blog. My name is Johnathan Dias from Re/Max Preferred Properties in Naugatuck CT and I started blogging…TODAY. I’m so excited to share my ideas and knowledge of the real estate market to the blog world, and I hope that readers will find my information useful.
A little about myself: I’m 22 years old, born and raised in the small town of Beacon Falls CT. I got my start in real estate while attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. I found an ad in the local newspaper for an investor looking for birddogs. Enticed by the job title alone, I picked up the phone and began my new career. I was a bird-dog for over a year, in both MA and CT, completing over ten successful transactions. In early 2006, I wanted to further my career by obtaining a real estate license. By August 2006, I was licensed in both MA and CT. I’ve been selling real estate for about two years now, and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. I specialize in Residential Real Estate with an emphasis on marketing Single Family homes. I am technologically advanced, and use that to my advantage in marketing properties. My preferred market areas are Naugatuck, Beacon Falls, Seymour, Oxford, Prospect, Woodbridge, Cheshire, Middlebury, Bethany, Waterbury, and Southington, but I always love learning about other towns. Check out my website www.johnathandias.com to find out more about what I offer for buyers and sellers.
I can’t wait to share my thoughts and ideas on this blog. I am going to try and make a new entry every week. In each entry, I will include statistics of my local market, hot new properties that are on the market that I feel are great deals, and helpful information for buyers and sellers. I hope that everyone enjoys my blog and feel free to ask me questions or give me comments. If you are a fellow blogger, send me a link to your blog and I would love to check it out and share my thoughts.
Thank you and have a great day.

I see your preferred market areas are Naugatuck, Beacon Falls, Seymour, Oxford, Prospect, Woodbridge, Cheshire, Middlebury, Bethany, Waterbury, and Southington. Which OXford do you mean, Oxford in England where I live orr one of the OXford’s in the USA.
I expect with all the news about the subprime loans, the housing market must be depressed where you live. How much is an average home in your area?

Hi Nicnewman. Thank you for the comment. I am from CT in the US. There is a town in CT named Oxford. It’s a smaller town with a population of about 10,000. The average home sells for a little under $300,000. It doesn’t have its own high school yet, but it will soon.
